This day, after breakfast, we drive southwest of Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which has one of the highest elephant population throughout Tanzania. Its sparse vegetation is strewn with baobab- and acacia trees, thus making it an ideal place for wildlife viewing. In the dry season, droves of gazelles, wildebeest, zebras and giraffes are in the National Park, where they will remain for the last pasture till the beginning of the sort reins in November. A large number of elephants than nowhere else in the northern Tanzania live in the park as well as the lions, leopards and cheetahs. Towards evening you will be driven to Eileen’s tree Inn lodge (fb/full board) where you will stay for a night.
