This day, after breakfast, we drive southwest of Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which has one of the highest elephant population throughout Tanzania. His sparse vegetation is strewn with baobab- and acacia trees, thus making it a very special place. Before the rainy season begins, droves of gazelles, wildebeest, zebras and giraffes are in the National Park, where they will remain for the last pasture. A large number of elephants and eland live in the park as well as the Thompson`s gazelle and the hartebeest just as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Towards evening you will be driven to karatu where you will stay for a night at ‚Country lodge (fb/full board)‘, where you will stay for a night.

In the morning, early after breakfast or with packed breakfast and drive back for lunch at lodge, drive to the Ngorongoro crater where you will spend a half day of game viewing. Also called the eighth wonder of the world, you will enjoy a fantastic view over the crater landscape with its own vegetation which will take your breath away. The Ngorongoro Crater, with its 304 square kilometers and it’s up to 610 meters high crater walls, counts to the most intact, not flooded volcanic craters in the world. Before Ngorongoro Volcano exploded and collapsed 2.5 to 3 million years ago, it was one of the world`s tallest mountains in the world. Now it`s home of more than 300.000 large mammals – such as the rhinoceros, lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, gazelles, buffalo and more – with one of the highest predator density in the world overnight at ‘Country lodge (fb/full board)‘

In the morning you drive to Serengeti National Park where breathtaking landscapes, endless horizons an abundant wildlife await you. The Serengeti is a UNESCO-World Heritage Site and the second largest National Park in Tanzania. On the way to the Serengeti, you will pass ‘Olduvai Gorge’ – the understanding of early human evolution – that belongs to one of the world’s most famous archaeological excavation and which is part of the East African rift valley. Today you will have an overnight stay at ‘katikati tented camp (fb/full board)’.

Today you can enjoy a full day of the impressive diversity of wildlife in the western part of the Serengeti National Park which is the ideal place to watch the impressive large animal migrations at this time of the year. The endless plains of the Serengeti provides a truly exceptional landscape which lends itself for great wildlife viewing and makes your safari to an impressive experience. You will see elephants, hippos, lions, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards and more in the wild. Today you will stay for an overnight again at ‘katikati tented camp (fb/fullboard)’.
After breakfast drive to Seronera air strip for your flight to Arusha/Zanzibar.
NB: There is a possibility to have a night stay in Arusha at this day if your flight is in the next day after the Safari where you will relax after the adventure.
